Ajune Center for Well-Being
New York City
Ajune’s interior architecture transforms the guest’s experience through experiential design. If we can engage all of their senses, we can create a memory.
Entering Ajune provides immediate respite, making the spatial condition a part of the well-being process.
Earthy colors of sand and moss mosaic tile make up the exterior cladding, which leads into a warm, sensuous interior of white oak millwork.
The procession culminates in the “hall of whispers,” an elongated glowing veil of white scrim which is draped under a shallow vaulted ceiling.
One hears the falling water, echoing from a nearby water sculpture, as they touch the delicate fabric, view the shadowy material folds, and smell the delicate musk of aromatherapy.
Here the experiential journey awakens the senses and heals guests through visual, audio, and tangible stimuli, making the stresses of Manhattan feel far, far away.
